Shipping and Delivery
The majority of orders placed above £50 in value are shipped free of charge, the only exclusions to this are dependant on where you live and whether or not these areas naturally have a higher postage cost, examples of this would include Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Highlands of Scotland, Isle of Man and channel islands. All orders below the value of £50 are subject to a at least a £2.50 charge for postage and packaging, depending on the service chosen this could be more. In the rare instance that an order is below £50 in cost, but over 2kg in weight you may be subject to a shipping surcharge. For any questions regarding charges in shipping, please don't hesitate in contacting us.

We pride ourselves on having one of the fastest and most efficient services available for any mail order item in the country, providing that we have the item(s) in-stock we aim to have your order shipped within 24 hours of the initial placement. If you would like to clarify whether your order has been dispatched and determine the possible delivery date, please feel free to contact us. All items are sent either by either Royal Mail or via Courier. In all cases a form of proof of postage or collection is obtained. All orders with a value of over £50 will be sent with a requirement of a signature upon delivery, either via Royal Mails 'Signed For' service, or via courier.

Royal Mail do not consider any item lost until 10 working days have passed (UK), or 30 working days to the rest of the world. If you have not received your order within this period of time, please make contact with us so that we can look into the issue further.

Faulty Items
In the unlikely event that an item you have purchased from us develops a fault within the manufacturers warranty period, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can try and diagnose the fault prior to return. Unless a clear fault can be determined by our technicians we may need to send the item(s) back to the supplier or manufacturer who will then ultimately decide on whether it can be repaired or replaced. If a genuine fault does become diagnosed any costs incurred in returning the item to us can be reimbursed by us to avoid you being out of pocket. 

Returns can only be offered when the item(s) received are returned to us as they were originally supplied, in brand new retail packaging, un-opened and un-used within 14 days of initial purchase. If items are returned to us in any other condition they are potentially subject to reduced refund to reflect the diminished value of the product given it's use. Return shipping costs are also at the buyers expense, and so are not reimbursable by Bolton Model Mart. Please also note all items being returned are not the responsibility of Bolton Model Mart until received at our end, please use the correct method of postage to conform with this policy as we cannot be held responsible for returns which have gone missing.
